comenius cooking project

At the moment we have a weekly cooking class. Every week on Wednesday the class of Marion (3a) is testing recipes for our recipe book.


Until now we made

3 different potatoe salads with sausages



Potato salad with eggs
Ingredients (for 4 persons):
-          1 kg           boiled potatoes
-          150 gram  gherkins
-          4                hard-boiled eggs
-          1                little onion
-          100 gram  mayonnaise
-          100 gram  yoghurt
-          1 Tsp         mustard
-          Optionally some vinegar (can be of the gherkins)
-          Salt and pepper

Preparation:
            Slice the potatoes and dice the gherkins and onions.
Peel the eggs and slice them as well.
Make a dressing with the rest of the ingredients.
Give it to the other ingredients and fold it in softly.



Potato salad with apples
Ingredients (for 4 persons):
-          1 kg           boiled potatoes
-          150 gram  gherkins
-          2-3            apples
-          1                little onion
-          100 gram  mayonnaise
-          100 gram  yoghurt
-          Optionally some vinegar (can be of the gherkins)
-          Salt and pepper

Preparation:
            Slice the potatoes and dice the gherkins and onions.
            Peel the apples and cut it into pieces.
            Make a dressing out of the mayonnaise, the yoghurt,
the vinegar and the spices.
Give it to the other ingredients and fold it in softly.



Potato salad with onions and bacon
Ingredients (for 4 persons):
-          1 kg           boiled potatoes
-          100 gram diced bacon
-          2                little onions
-          4 soup sp. vinegar
-          8 soup sp. oil
-          1 tee sp.    mustard
-          salt and pepper

Preparation:
            Dice the onions and the bacon.
Stew it until it is glassy.
Slice the potatoes.
Make a dressing out of vinegar, oil, pepper, salt and the mustard.
Give all in one bowl and fold it in softly.

a kids tiramisu


Tiramisu for kids (with apples)
Ingredients (for 6 persons):
-          1 packet                ladyfingers or shortbread
-          500 gram              low fat curd cheese
-          250 gram              mascarpone
-          2 cups                   cream
-          2 small glasses     apple purée

Preparation:
                        First whip the cream.
                        Add the low fat curd cheese, the mascarpone as well
as 8 spoons of sugar to the whipped cream. Mix it.
Stagger it in a bowl. Start with the ladyfingers. Then stagger the apple purée and the mixes cream.
On the top, you can give some cinnamon, cocoa or  chocolate sprinkles.


as well as `Eifeler` doughboys with fried potatoes, fried eggs and apple purée



´Eifeler´ doughboys
Ingredients:
-          600 gram flour
-          5                eggs
-          1 tea sp.    salt
-          1 cup         water


Preparation:
            Make a pastry out of these ingredients. It has to be semi fluid.
            Cook some salted water.      
Form the doughboys with a soup spoon and give them in the water.
Take the doughboys out of the water when you can see them on the top.
Give them into to oven (70°C) to keep them warm


fried potatoes
Ingredients:
-          500 gram potatoes
-                            salt

Preparation:
Cook the potatoes. Pell them and slice the potatoes. Give some butter in a pan and fry them. Give some salt on the fried potatoes. Give some salt on the top.




Apple purée
Ingredients:
-          1 kg           apples
Preparation:
Peel the apples and remove the core.
Cut it into slices.
Cook it in some water.

fried eggs
Ingredients:
-          eggs

Preparation:
Give some butter in a pan. Crack the eggs and fry them in the pan.
